Terminology and Stitches

I learned to crochet using mainly US terminology, so this is the terminology I am comfortable with – but it’s not difficult to switch to a UK terminology pattern. There are some differences and the pattern will usually say which terminology is used. If not, you can usually tell by looking at the stitches; for example, single crochet is only used in US terminology, so if there is an sc, then the pattern is using US terminology.
