Invisible Finish

When you crochet a small round piece, like a spot for a giraffe or dinosaur, you should avoid a visible knot when you fasten off your piece. Using invisible finish technique to fasten off will make sure the piece is perfectly round, with no visible knot:

1. Finish the last stitch in your piece

2. Cut the yarn (leaving a long tail for sewing)

3. Pull the yarn all the way through (out of the top of the stitch) and thread your yarn needle with it

4. Your tail will be coming out of the last stitch

5. Insert your needle into the front of stitch 2 (through both front and back loops) and pull through

6. Insert back into the last stitch, back loop only, from the top of the stitch

7. Pull through gently, making what looks like the top of a stitch over stitch 1

8. Fasten/sew in at the back to secure – you will now have no visible fasten-off knot/lump
